The Sea And This City
The Sea And This City is a collection of delicate and ephemeral photographs captured by photographer and writer Rebecca Isgrove. Not so often do we see a glimpse of the majestic and beautiful inner landscape of Sydney - that silent, still and softness of the sunlight casting its shadows and touching window sills and onto figurative objects. Her images seek to foretell or end with a short message: what can see or leave as we awake in the morning, what can we do that change our moods or sense of our surrounding environment? We can as much as nature, manipulate our domestic landscape and leave our human mark making behind.
Rebecca’s work has been published through Blackmail Press, Auckland Poetry and the Silenced Press in New Zealand. Her work was recently shown at the Chalk Horse Gallery last year and this year at 2 B Seen Art Space.
