Spring 2011 by Ann Demeulemeester

Demeulemeester’s crowning count remains resolutely in the shadows of the moon. In a carte blanche, all crisp white, that were powdered conspiratorially with black in long vest buttoned jackets, those with a high mock collar and subtle flanges and the fleecing of ruffles running down one blazer’s lapels. Demeulemeester’s has never aimed to make her male constricted in fashion, and it is in the fluid nonchalance of how she has managed to cut the individual pieces in the collection, particularly those steel white trousers, those waifish shoulder sleeves all converged and cemented by a designed pair of high sneaker Wellingtons. There is dualtoned expression with heightened decorum. The hair is never disheleved nor is his shoes. The side belted vest suggested a love for fencing in protecting the body’s side. He has a vested interest in music and literature for which he wears a top and high shirt collar. Whilst respectful of social dress, he values democratic and individualistic values whilst still yearn for romanticism but not just for the short-sightedness of a woman. He shows restraint and control but in a totally suave and intelligent nature.
