Hien Le, A Vietnamese Berliner has only about two months ago this year launched his eponymous label. The fashion designer still in business infancy, has however vitally primed himself for an industry, often viewed with a baroque facade and of a hellfire profession. Souring fabrics, travelling to find the best maker or factory to produce specific kinds of garments or ones that are highly bespoke are just some of the major hurdles faced by the fashion industry in today’s current climate. As a brand new flowering stem in arguably now Berlin Fashion, Hien Le has set out to focus on articulating his own brand and already with outcomes of a new notion of luxury. The immediacy and intimate feeling of how a fabric flows, initially somehow amorphous attaches to the body and breathes its own structure. Hien for two years worked for one of Europe’s recognised press relations and sales agencies Agentur V (now Agency V) which also under his tenture, looked after such names including Henrik Vibskov, Christian Wijnants, Bless Berlin, Carin Wester and Stine Goya.
