UNITED BAMBOO

United Bamboo in itself is an established collaborative seasonal project with designers Miho Aoki and Thuy Pham at the helm. The label has grown prominently as a procession of revamping the idea and concept of American sportswear into something fresh and completely refined and garment pieces in which have multi-dimensional properties which have seen both designed incorporate industrial PVC and a complexity in pattern-making. Each season is different which can range from light and soft colours to architectural silhouettes, re-invigorating interpretations of preparatory-wear and with elements of new brutalism. United Bamboo is an eclectic collaborative effect working with the dynamics afforded by New York. Miho Aoki previously was a design assistant at Bernadette Corp and studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. Vietnamese-born Thuy Pham was a designer also at Bernadette Corp with previous studies in Architecture at The Cooper Union, New York. United Bamboo has since annually shown the collections at New York Fashion Week since 2004.
