New Zealand designer Karen Walker can be described as designing clothes that is driven by a complete manner of character and personality. Derived themes, stories and narratives of both fictional and non-fictional, from the archives and modern films attached to Amelia Earhart and Anne Hall are just a small portion to Karen’s beautifully chic tailored womenswear. Focused on a stylishly confident silhouette, seasonal prints of floral and front stripes with cropped shoulder coats, short pleated pants and flared bottoms have focused on a continuous search for a fresh and modern approach. Karen’s protagonist as a smart and assertive outsider has been the on-going transformation of 13 collections with a previous 8 seasons shown during London Fashion Week.
