With the world faced with the beloved departure of Jil Sander from her company, Belgian designer Raf Simons took command as the creative director of the luxurious brand. Raf’s incision of infusing minimalist luxury that strives to naturally exert dense soft and textural surfaces, flowing curvilinear forms in perfectly cut shapes and a visionary concept in womenswear has envisioned a return to the foundations of Jil Sander which gives women a continuance in a self-confident, elegant silhouette. Fall 2008 saw Raf create architecturally sculptured outlines and universally showing he always looks forward to understanding the new Jil Sander for which he has created. Raf Simons has since 2005 held the role of creative director of Jil Sander and designs both the seasonal womenswear and menswear collection.
